           AWASA Offers Free Spay/Neuter in February

Tucson, AZ: In response to increased demand for spay/neuter services, the Animal Welfare Alliance of Southern Arizona (AWASA) is expanding its “Pet Fix” FREE spay/neuter program to residents of Central Tucson living within the area bounded by First Avenue to I-10, and Speedway to Prince.
Residents in the referenced area qualify for FREE spay/neuter surgery for up to two pets on a first call, first serve basis. Participating clinics are:

“We are targeting Central Tucson to ease the financial demands on the residents of this area. Times are tough and we want to do what we can to help people keep their pets” explains Pat Hubbard, President of AWASA.
AWASA will continue to offer free spay/neuter to the residents of underserved or economically depressed areas of Pima County, including the neighborhoods off of Old Nogales Highway “Dog Patch”, Pueblo Gardens, Midvale Park, Littletown, Barrio Hollywood, the City of South Tucson, Catalina, Three Points, Avra Valley, Ajo, Arivaca, Picture Rocks and the Tohono O’odham and Pasqua Yaqui Nations.
